Meet Tanya Riggan! Tanya is the Director of Client Relations at Koley Jessen in Omaha, Nebraska, and she serves as the Secretary for the Midwest Regional Board. Tanya shares about her garden, the best vacation she’s ever been on, why she enjoys volunteering with LMA, and more.
Tell us your story – where do you work and what do you do?
I’m the Director of Client Relations at Koley Jessen in Omaha, Nebraska, where I have the privilege of leading all aspects of marketing and business development for over 110 attorneys.
What do you enjoy most about being an LMA volunteer?
I love the connections that I’ve made by volunteering. I have had the opportunity to expand my network in the Midwest by collaborating on projects with people across the region. These people become great resources as well as friends.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, Hiking, Gardening, Live Music, Yoga. I love to learn and am a total nerd. I read as much as I can and listen to podcasts about health and wellness or business strategy. I love to hike and be outdoors. I plant a garden every year that the weeds take over, but some squash, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers manage to survive! I’m a live music junkie. Not big arena shows – but smaller venues and less well-known acts.
What was the best vacation you’ve ever been on?
I am obsessed with Custer State Park in South Dakota. I’ve spent a week at Sylvan Lake with my kids the last 3 summers and I’m sad that we aren’t going to get there this summer. My consolation prize is a guided backpacking and rafting trip in Glacier National Park with 6 fabulous ladies- so my best vacation answer may need to be updated after that!
What travel spot is on your bucket list?
My bucket list is long. I really want to hike in the Dolomites in Italy. Hiking to Machu Picchu would be amazing. And I’d love to hit all of the National Parks in the U.S.!

Outlive by Dr. Peter Atia and The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles

Jan & Dean (weird- I know)
What’s your favorite movie?
The Princess Bride
If you could trade places with a Marvel Super Hero (or villain!) for a day, who would it be?
My 10-year-old and I have now watched all of the Marvel movies- and love all the characters, so this is a tough question. Iron Man is probably my first pick…
What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Scrambled eggs with veggies from my garden!

Connections.

Koley Jessen has an energy I love. I know everyone brags about their culture- but I really do love the energy of our firm and I’m so lucky to work with such a great group of people.
How has LMA helped you accomplish your career goals?
LMA has provided me with a network of people who are an incredible resource. When I’m at a fork in the road or need somebody to bounce ideas off of – I have a list of wonderful people I can contact or a SIG that I can connect with!
