“Fall” in love with this cozy warm cocktail

Mulled wine is a must for fall! At the end of a long working day in particular, this is a quick, easy make and then it settles you into your evening. Enjoy…

  • 1 orange, sliced and seeded
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (I use cinnamon sticks)
  • 1 bottle red wine (I typically only spend a few dollars on a cheaper red)

Combine the orange, sugar, water and spices in a large pot. Slowly bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat again, then add the wine, and slowly reheat without boiling.

Serve warm in mugs.
